On the Egis Health and Prevention Days, between the 2nd and 6th of November, the screening station of the comprehensive nationwide health tests program awaits residents of Kőbánya with screening tests and healthcare counseling. Since the health tests were held either behind closed doors or far from Kőbánya this year, Egis – in cooperation with the local municipality – decided to offer an opportunity that specifically targets the well-being of the residents. Nearly 100 people per day can participate in the program and 37 different screenings are available besides consulting on prevention and potential risks to health. Participation at the event – which is also of public health importance - is subject to prior registration.
Egis has several ties to Kőbánya. 107 years ago, Sándor Balla established Egis’ predecessor on the Keresztúri street in Kőbánya, where the company is located to this day. We are at home here, our past as well as our future connects us to the district. Besides, many of our colleagues live in Kőbánya – said dr. István Hodász, CEO of Egis.
At the screenings, safety is top priority: entering is only possible after hand disinfection and the determination of body temperature, and with no symptoms (coughing, fever) indicative of risk. A circulation system is responsible for removing virus and bacteria from the air, and all walls, furniture and equipment of the screening station are disinfectable.
In the framework of the program – launched in 2010 – more than 7 million tests have been performed, with the involvement of 560 000 people in 1886 locations. Besides the screenings, extensive information on healthy way of living is also shared.
