Happy eco-friendly Holidays!

Trees from paper: Aiming to reduce the number of corporate paper greeting cards, our initiative has been a great success this year as well: in December 95% less cards were sent out than two years ago. Egis will spend the saved amount on planting – the project therefore doubly serves the purpose of protecting our nature.

The initiative had been launched in 2019 and continued last December: our colleagues were offered to send electronic corporate greetings instead of paper-based ones for the upcoming holidays. Much fewer people chose paper greeting cards than in the year before, and in comparison with the first year, the advance is even more remarkable: in 2020 we sent out 95% fewer paper greeting cards than two years ago.

The amount we jointly saved for the company will contribute to our planting and greening projects that have also been launched last year.

Thanks to the initiative, in 2020 we planted trees at our site on Keresztúri Street along the way to the company canteen, and we also purchased new plants for our sites on Bökényföldi Road and Lehel Street. Next to the newly planted trees and other plants, an information board has also been placed, saying that the plants and the greener environment are the results of our joint initiative. The project also draws attention to the fact that together we can do a lot for our environment, even starting with small steps.
