More than 200 companies entered the OFA contest. The awards were handed out in five categories: small and medium-sized enterprises, big companies, as well as organisations from the public sector could take part in the contest. Based on the judges’ votes Egis proved to be the best in the category of large companies with more than two thousand employees.
The judging panel praised our company’s employee-centric approach, its programmes for employees during the pandemic, Egis’ behaviour as a responsible employer, as well as its efforts made to improve the safety of our colleagues and business partners. Besides, the committee emphasized that the New Ways of Working framework had already been launched at Egis during the pandemic to prepare the company for a future shift in working models after the pandemic.
The goal of the OFA contest is to put forward and recognize those employers, that consider human resources the most important assets of their company, therefore they make efforts to retain their employees and work in the interest of maintaining their growth and well-being. Recognizing outstanding good practices that help to improve employers’ approach in Hungary can also serve as exemplary and motivational factor for employers with less experience. Good practices can include initiatives aiming to achieve work-life balance, providing training opportunities or measures to enhance the physical and intellectual well-being of employees etc.
