Egis sponsored the 40th Hungarian Press Photo Contest

The Hungarian Press Photo Contest, the most prestigious national competition for photographers and news photographers in Hungary was held for the 40th times. Once again, Egis sponsored the Nature and science category of the contest. Many of the submitted photos are on display in the Hungarian National Museum in Budapest, however, the exhibition will later travel to other locations in the country as well.

Hearts filled with plastic caps to help disadvantaged children

To facilitate separate waste collection, heart-shaped containers for plastic bottle caps were set up at two of our production sites (one in Budapest, one in Körmend) in the environmental protection month. The initiative has been so popular with our colleagues that at their request, two more heart-shaped containers have been installed at the company’s other two sites in Budapest. Egis has donated the plastic caps for a charitable purpose chosen by our colleagues.

Happy eco-friendly Holidays!

Trees from paper: Aiming to reduce the number of corporate paper greeting cards, our initiative has been a great success this year as well: in December 95% less cards were sent out than two years ago. Egis will spend the saved amount on planting – the project therefore doubly serves the purpose of protecting our nature.

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of its establishment, KÖVET Association launched its ‘For a sustainable economy’ anniversary program and announced a tender for several categories, one of which was won by Egis on topic of environmental savings.

Adventures on four wheels

Based on a comprehensive survey, we learnt that our employees would like to do more to protect the environment and they would truly appreciate it if our company offered some support with regards to that too. In the spirit of environmental consciousness, we organized a few programs throughout April – for example, an electric car driving session.

Bence Máté's Exhibition from 13 March in Budapest

Bence Máté wildlife photographer intends to shake up the public in order to protect nature. His spectacular nature photo exhibition series - organized in Budapest, then at the main square of another seven provincial towns – was opened by János Áder on 13 March. The outstanding project was supported by Egis.
