Egis Group opened its office in the South Asian country in 2000. Egis Vietnam is one of our company’s youngest subsidiaries and is of particular significance as in other countries in the region we market our products through partners. Today we have two offices in Vietnam: one in Ho Chi Minh City, the country’s commercial centre, and one in Hanoi, the capital.

„Egis Vietnam has gone through dynamic development in the last two decades, but our main goal has remained unchanged: to contribute to the well-being of people in Vietnam with our reliable, high-quality products. Our products that are marketed in the country target the treatment of cardiovascular, respiratory and CNS diseases, whilst our OTC (over the counter) portfolio is growing as well – said Miklós Szabó, general manager of Egis Vietnam.

He added that in comparison with Hungary, healthcare regulations and the medicine subsidy system in Vietnam differ in several aspects. „Prescription medicines have a strong presence in the market: they are subject to strict regulations, and only these products receive state subsidy. Egis develops its strategy with these attributes in mind. On the other hand, natural therapies are very popular in Vietnam, therefore there is a great demand for teas and herbs as well – said Miklós Szabó, pointing out the specific duality.

At Egis Group’s 17 subsidiaries and representative offices, almost 1300 colleagues of ours contribute to our international successes. Apart from Egis Vietnam, most of our offices are located in the Central and Eastern European region as well as in the CIS countries. Altogether our products are available in 60 countries of the world.
