PwC Hungary’s survey not only looked at employee expectations but also wanted to find out what employer factors respondents consider to be the most important.  According to the findings, when it comes to choosing a job/workplace, besides the base salary, flexible and predictable working hours, rapport with the co-workers and the management style of the immediate superior also play a significant role. For experienced employees over 28 the opportunity of working remotely is also important, but a company that does not offer remote working at all is not appealing to young people either.

In the pharma industry category, our company is again the second most attractive pharmaceutical employer among young respondents aged between 16 and 28 years. 'Last year all our actions were focused on our employees, on their needs, on their retention, on the communication with them and, above all, on their safety. I’m very happy that the positive effect of our efforts has reached our potential future employees as well1 – said Dr. Klára András, Director of Human Resources at Egis, who accepted the award on behalf of the company.

Talking about the in-house processes of the past period, she stressed the importance of rethinking the proportion of remote and on-site working and the flexibility within the working day. ‘We understand that our employees want different ways and methods of working and building relationships. The PwC study has revealed that this has become crucial for a wide range of employees. The expectations of managers have increased as well, employees look for greater transparency, open, honest, and genuine communication'. Dr. Klára András emphasised that the achievement can be credited to  real teamwork.
