Randstad is the world’s leading recruitment company, and its independent brand research survey attracts significant attention year after year. The company’s 2026 research was conducted globally across 34 markets, involving 6,084 companies and based on the opinions of 170,000 respondents. Within this, in Hungary, the survey mapped employee preferences and the most attractive companies with the involvement of 7,883 respondents and by examining 282 companies and employers. In this survey, Egis Pharmaceuticals PLC ranked first in the life sciences sector in 2026, thereby earning the Randstad Award. The award was accepted by Csaba Poroszlai, CEO of Egis, and Dr. Klára András, HR and Communications Director of the company.

An important finding of this year’s research is that, although the IT and business services sectors have been among the most attractive employer sectors for years, the life sciences sector is increasingly catching up with the leading group. The study also highlighted that Hungarian employees continue to choose workplaces based on a conscious and consistent set of expectations. This means that salary, a pleasant working atmosphere, security, work-life balance and, increasingly, career development opportunities are important to them.

For Egis, this award is particularly valuable because it is based on research that examines employer branding from the perspective of potential employees. In other words, it shows how we are perceived by those who are choosing a workplace, considering career opportunities, and deciding what kind of organization they would like to be part of. We owe our attractiveness and reputation to a significant extent to our former and current colleagues and partners,” said Dr. Klára András, HR and Communications Director of Egis Pharmaceuticals PLC.

Egis, Hungary’s 29th largest employer, has received numerous domestic employer awards in recent years, including the Top Employer 2025 and 2026 certifications as the only Hungarian pharmaceutical manufacturer to do so. Among other benefits and tools, Egis supports the wellbeing of its employees with a 13th-month bonus, generous cafeteria benefits, extra days of leave, family-friendly services, flexible working hours, on-site medical services, sports and leisure opportunities, as well as holiday options at one of the company’s facilities at Lake Balaton and in Agárd.
