Short films about interesting chemical reactions, presentations on innovative chemical solutions, competition announcements, news - the newsletter for chemistry teachers is edited by the Szabó Szabolcs Foundation and it draws attention to several topics that can help to promote chemistry. Hearts filled with plastic caps to help disadvantaged children

To facilitate separate waste collection, heart-shaped containers for plastic bottle caps were set up at two of our production sites (one in Budapest, one in Körmend) in the environmental protection month. The initiative has been so popular with our colleagues that at their request, two more heart-shaped containers have been installed at the company’s other two sites in Budapest. Egis has donated the plastic caps for a charitable purpose chosen by our colleagues.

For the 6th time, Országos Foglalkoztatási Közhasznú Nonprofit Korlátolt Felelősségű Társaság or OFA (National Employment Public Benefit Nonprofit LLC) has awarded companies that - as responsible employers - consider human resources the most important assets and make great efforts to retain their employees and support their growth and well-being. The award was presented to our company’s representative by dr László Palkovits, Minister for Innovation and Technology of Hungary.

Egis is one of the Most Attractive Employers in the pharma industry in Hungary

PriceWaterhouseCoopers Hungary has surveyed employee preferences and job expectations among young people and experienced professionals for the fifth time; the survey involved almost 30 000 respondents. Based on the answers of participants aged between 16 and 28 years, in the pharma industry category Egis is the second most attractive employer in Hungary.

Egis Inaugurates Two New Plants in Körmend

Two technology-intensive developments, carried out with state subsidies, were completed at Egis Pharmaceuticals PLC’s Körmend site (Hungary). The investments were inaugurated by Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and by the company’s CEO, Dr. István Hodász on 15 October.  In addition to a new packaging plant, Egis has also established a plant with special knowledge and technology requirements, typically suitable to manufacture oncology products.  Thus, Egis is now able to implement all value-creating processes within the field of oncology, from development to active ingredient and finished product manufacturing.

Last year, our company joined the kestrel protection programme of the Őrség National Park. As a company committed to nature conservation, and engaged in production activities in the region, Egis also supported the "Give a Kestrel Family a Home" initiative.
