Dennis Gábor Award: Two laureates’ achievements are linked to Egis

For his outstanding innovation activities, Dr. Balázs Volk, Director of Drug Substance Development at Egis, received the Dennis Gábor Award, while Dr. Pál Fekete, retired Head of Pharmaceutical Technology Operations, was honored with the Dennis Gábor Lifetime Achievement Award. The award serves as a heightened moral recognition for Hungarian professionals who play a creative role in the innovation process and pursue exceptional scientific and R&D activities. Considering all fields of science, only about seven nominated individuals receive this honor each year. Egis Pharmaceuticals PLC inaugurates new active ingredient manufacturing plant

Egis Pharmaceuticals PLC has inaugarated one of the largest active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) investments in its 112-year history in Budapest. The new HUF 30 billion plant, financed from the company’s own resources, will produce the active ingredient of a globally market-leading medicine, featuring numerous technological innovations.

Colourful Chemistry – more useful materials for the secondary school-leaving exam

We are inviting secondary school students interested in the practical application of chemistry to take part in our special competition, organized together with Researchers’ Night. The first round will be held online then the groups of three will compete at the Egis Science and Technology Centre in September.

Egis hosted the complex academic competition of the Petrik Lajos Vocational School

The final of the complex academic competition of Budapest Center of Technical Vocational Training - Petrik Lajos Bilingual Vocational School was held for the sixth time at the Egis Science and Technology Centre. Besides the students of the Budapest based institution, students of the Esztergom Centre of Vocational Training - Bottyán János Vocational School also participated in the competition for 11th grade students.

Another grand prize for our company's career guidance program

Our company's initiative, #kémiamindenkinek (#chemistryforeveryone) awarded at HR Best, one of the most prestigious HR competitions in Hungary. Five large companies made it to the final in the “Future Talent Investors” category. Based on the jury's decision Egis' career guidance program received the gold award.

The Press Photo Contest is regarded as one of the most important annual events of the Hungarian photographers, participants can submit their photos in several categories. Our company has been supporting the "Nature and Science" category for years, we aim to draw attention to the importance of preserving and maintaining biodiversity.

The awards were presented by dr István Hornyánszky, Associate Professor of BME, dr István Szalai Professor of ELTE Faculty of Science, dr Klára András HR and Communication Director at Egis and Gabriella Tornóczky Head of Communication Division at Egis. Dr István Zubkó, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Szeged also gave a welcome speech. The award ceremony was held in the Egis Science and Technology Centre.
